Paro Festival
The Paro Festival is one the biggest and famous Tsechu in Bhutan. Paro Tsechu is the Festival where many tourists are attracted and is one of the very peak seasons for the tourist visiting Bhutan. During the festival, mask dances are performed by monks as well as by laymen. In-between the mask dances there will be folk dances by the Woochu people and the dancers from the Paro valley. The big Thanka or Thongdrel (Liberation at Sight) is unfurling on the last day of the Tsechu, very early in the morning. Thimphu Festival

Jambay Lhakhang Festival

It is also a time to reaffirm their devotion and commitment to leading morally sound, wholesome and honest lives. The Jambay Lhakhang Festival is one of the very important festivals in Bhutan. The main highlight of this festival is ‘the scared naked dance known as Ter Cham and Mewang-the fire blessing’.
Trongsa Festival
Festivals or Tshechu (Tenth Day) are held every year in various temples, monasteries and dzongs across the country, Bhutan. It is mainly a religious event celebrated on the 10th day of the month of Lunar Calendar corresponding to the birthday of Guru Rinpoche, an 8th century Buddhist teacher. These festivals are series of sacred events choreographed to promote happiness yet with the intent to ultimately cultivate an enlightened mind in all people who come to witness the mask dances.
Trongsa Festival is one the oldest festivals in Bhutan. It is believed the festivals in Bhutan were spread from Trongsa. Most of the Champoen, the mask dance teacher, learned in Trongsa. The Druk Path Trek is also a fairly easy hike to undertake as the distances between rest camps is fairly short. The trail takes you through forests of fir, blue pine and dwarf rhododendrons at altitudes ranging between 2400-4200 m.
